Method 2: Backup Method
If you have problems with the first method, here is another method you can try. At the time of creating this guide, it doesn’t appear that this is the overall cheapest but it does work. With this method, you must first buy Bitcoin which will later be used in exchange for Ripple XRP. But before we do this, we must set up an account on the exchange where we will purchase Ripple XRP with our Bitcoin since we will directly deposit our Bitcoin there after it is purchased.
Step 1: Create A Binance Account

Step 6: Buy Bitcoin
Go here to begin the process of purchasing Bitcoin with a credit card.
Step 7: Enter The Amount
Input the amount of USD you wish to spend on Bitcoin. Make sure the box says USD and not EUR unless you are purchasing with EUR. Step 12: Check Your Balance
Now go back to your Binance account. In Binance, navigate to the “Funds” button and click on the “Balances” button to check if you have received the Bitcoin you sent from your wallet. Find BTC Bitcoin in the list. If the transaction has been completed, the BTC Bitcoin amount you transferred will appear under the “Available Balance” column.
Step 13: Go To The Exchange
Once you have confirmed that your Bitcoin has arrived, In the menu bar on Binance, click the link labeled “Exchange” like the one shown below. You will see the two options, “Basic” and “Advanced”. Choose “Basic”.
Step 14: Select XRP/BTC
When you click “Basic” you will be redirected to the following page. On the top right corner, select the “BTC” tab and search for XRP (as shown in the screenshot below) and the XRP/BTC pair will appear. Click on the pair and you will see the Ripple XRP chart with numerous details.
Step 15: Buy XRP
Now scroll down and you will find the Buy XRP windows in the center. Input the required details and type of order you want to place to buy Ripple XRP. The “Market” order will allow you to Buy Ripple XRP with current market price and “Limit” order will allow you to set the price at which you want to buy the Ripple XRP as the market moves up or down.
Step 16: Check Your Balance
Once you place your order it will appear in the “Open Orders” list. When it completes, it will disappear from that list. You can go to the “Balances” page under the “Funds” menu to see your XRP Ripple “Available Balance”.
Congratulations! You just purchased your first Ripple XRP coins. You can now send them to a private wallet if you would like to store them long-term or you can leave them on Binance if you will be trading them again soon.
Method 3: Possibly The Cheapest But Be Careful!
Recently, Binance partnered with Simplex to offer a way for people to purchase crypto directly with a credit card on their site. Although I love Binance as an exchange, I’ve experienced some strange issues with their exchange rates when using their buy crypto with a credit card service.
When I load their “buy crypto with a credit card page”, I’ve noticed that occasionally the price of bitcoin will be much higher than it should be. If I refresh the page, it goes back to a more normal exchange rate or vice versa. I’m not sure if this is a bug or intentional.
Here are two screenshots taken close to the same time to show you how drastically the exchange rate was fluctuating.
Nonetheless, when the exchange rate is working normally, it is possibly the cheapest method for buying crypto with a credit card. Here are the steps to take if you want to use this method.
Step 1: Follow The Previous Steps To Create A Binance Account
Step 2: Go To Binance’s Buy With Credit Card Page
Step 3: Enter The Amount Of USD You Wish To Spend And Choose XRP In The Drop Down Menu
Step 4: Click “Buy Now” And Follow The Instructions
