Coinbase / Coinbase Pro –  The most popular exchange in the US. You can purchase Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Ethereum with US dollars from your bank account. You can also use Coinbase to swap your cryptocurrency for US dollars and deposit them into your bank account.

Binance Logo - Crypto Exchanges

Binance – The most popular exchange by volume in the world. ​You currently cannot purchase crypto on their exchange with fiat currency so you must transfer bitcoin or other supported cryptocurrencies into their exchange and use that to trade with.

Poloniex Logo - Crypto Exchanges

Poloniex – A popular US based exchange. Like Binance, you cannot purchase crypto on their exchange with fiat so you must transfer a supported cryptocurrency in and trade with that.

Kraken Logo - Crypto Exchanges

Kraken – Another popular US based exchange that, like Coinbase, allows you to purchase crypocurrency with US dollars with a bank account.

IDEX Logo - Crypto Exchanges

IDEX – Our favorite decentralized exchange. There is slight learning curve to using ​it. You must either already have an Ether wallet or create one on their exchange. Then you must transfer Ether (or supported tokens) into that wallet and deposit that into the exchange in order to trade.

LocalBitcoins –  Not technically an exchange but a way to purchase Bitcoin and cryptocurrency directly from other individuals.
